The DET08 FAT CONCENTRATOR is a compact unit intended to remove fats and floating particles or foams present on the surface of the water. These generally arise from the preceding degritting or settling process.

The fat concentrator works on the basis that the water charged with foam and floating particles moves directly through the inlet pipe into the tank into the calming area. There the water is distributed uniformly which facilitates the separation of the fats, which rise to the level of the water surface. Now a special scraper system undertakes a skimming of these surface fats - concentrating them in the area of the discharge ramp so they can be ejected. The degreased water exits the tank via the outlet pipe.

The design of the fat concentrator is based on the flow to be treated (normally 20 - 30 litres/sec.) and the concentration of fats and floating particles that may be in the effluent (thus modifying the number of sweeping scrapers).

MAIN COMPONENTS OF THE DET08 FAT CONCENTRATOR

DRIVE UNIT

Comprised of a geared motor with a hollow output shaft working directly on the motor shaft. This works a set of wheels which interlock with the two lateral transportation chains to which the surface sweeper scrapers are attached.

SURFACE SCRAPERS

Made from stainless steel plate, within which adjustable profiles are mounted consisting of a flexible material which adapts well to the sides of the enclosure and the discharge ramp.

Driven by values and committed to an environmental vision.
